“Every UK university and college are invited to enter teams in the BRIT 2021 Challenge and complete 2,021miles with students and staff adding to their team total by walking, jogging, running, cycling, hand-cycling, wheelchair pushing, swimming, paddling or rowing. The Challenge is designed to be flexible so students can participate safely; on campus or at home.
British Sporting Icons throughout the UK are being asked to support one of the 450 UK universities and colleges, as BRIT Ambassadors, during the BRIT 2021 Challenge. As visits to universities and colleges are not possible due to COVID-19, Sporting Icons can still champion the BRIT 2021 Challenge, and inspire students to take part, through Social Media activity, video messages and quotes of support.
I encourage every current and former Olympic and Paralympic Rower to join me as a BRIT Ambassador at their former university or college, or one that is local to them. Together we can encourage more students to take part in the BRIT 2021 Challenge and champion rowing as one of the ways to participate”.
