We are delighted that Greg has joined our BRIT Ambassador family.
Greg represented Great Britain in the Bobsleigh Squad at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea and won World Cup silver with Brad Hall in 2019.
“I am delighted to be joining the BRIT Ambassador family to help support and improve young adult mental health and fitness throughout the UK. The BRIT 2021 Challenge is a tremendous opportunity for every UK university, college and student union to enter teams and encourage their students and staff to take part.
We need to do everything we can to ensure those who need support have access to the help they need; it is super to see that BRIT has partnered with PAPYRUS – Prevention of Young Suicide, Nightline Association, Student Minds and the Charlie Waller Trust so that all donations raised by the BRIT 2021 Challenge will be shared equally between five mental health charities who support students and young adults.
Delivering a UK-wide challenge that can reach the 5million Higher Education and Further Education students is a huge undertaking and I applaud BRIT for uniting the education, sport and charity sectors and for designing a challenge that is inclusive and enables students and staff of all abilities to take part either on campus or at home.
I think it’s great that there are so many ways to take part including hand-cycling, cycling, wheelchair pushing, swimming, walking, jogging, running, rowing or paddling (canoeing, kayaking or paddle-boarding).
BRIT are inviting their Ambassadors to engage with students and young adults throughout the UK by delivering encouragement and support. I urge Olympians, Paralympians, sports personalities and athletes to unite with us and join our BRIT Ambassador family so that young adults and students at every university and college are inspired to take part in the BRIT 2021 Challenge.”

Greg joined the Great Britain Bobsleigh squad in the summer of 2016 with a background in high-level athletics.
In the 2011 UK U23 Championships, Greg finished fourth in the 100 metres. In Switzerland two years later, Greg set a personal best in the 100 metres of 10.24 seconds and in the same year in Newham, set his personal best in the 60 metres of 6.65 seconds. In 2016, Greg won the Surrey County Indoor Track and Field Championships 60 metre title in a championship record of 6.69 seconds.
In 2016, Greg made his Great Britain Bobsleigh debut on the Europa Cup circuit in Konigssee, Germany with the 4-man team of Olly Biddulph, Ashley Watson and Toby Olubi who achieved ninth place. Greg then made his World Cup debut in 2017 at the European Championships in Winterberg, Germany with Olly Biddulph, Tremayne Gilling and Mark Lewis-Francis who achieved fourteenth place.
Greg made the 2017 World Championship squad in his first season and teamed up with Brad Hall, Joel Fearon and Bruce Tasker in Konigssee, Germany. A top 10 finish was on the cards before a crash derailed their hopes in the second run. They went on to end the season with an eight place finish in the World Cup 4-man event in PyeongChang, South Korea.
In 2017, Greg won World Cup bronze with Brad Hall, Joel Fearon and Bruce Tasker in Park City, Utah, USA. They recorded four top 10 finishes in the 4-man competition that season.
In 2018, Greg became an Olympian when he represented Great Britain at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea with his 4-man Bobsleigh team that included Brad Hall, Nick Gleeson and Joel Fearon.
Greg took a year away from the sport after the Winter Olympics and switching to track cycling, returning to the team in the summer of 2019 when he enjoyed a history-making campaign in the 2-man Bobsleigh with Brad Hall.
Greg and Brad claimed the country’s first 2-man medal in World Cup competition for more than thirty years when they won silver in Igls, Austria. This was just one week after they had narrowly missed out on a medal with a fourth place finish in La Plagne, France.
They went on to end the 2019/20 season in fifth place in the IBSF 2-man world rankings and Greg also took part in the 4-man event at the World Championships in Altenberg, Germany when the team came seventh.
