We are delighted that Toby has joined our BRIT Ambassador family. Toby has earned successive World Championship call-ups to the British Marathon swimming team and in 2017, claimed bronze in the 800 metres Freestyle at the British Championships.

Toby Robinson - Team GB Swimmer and BRIT Ambassador

“I am delighted to join the BRIT Ambassador family, champion the annual BRIT Challenges and help to support and improve young adult mental health and fitness throughout the UK.

As a former student at Loughborough University, and being based at the National Centre Loughborough, I know that students are facing many mental health challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic; particularly those who are vulnerable and already dealing with mental health difficulties.

It is vital that students and young adults who need help with their mental health receive timely support. BRIT are not only partnering with other mental health charities to help with their fundraising, they are championing front line mental health services and delivering a fantastic UK-wide feel-good fundraising challenge.

The BRIT 2021 Challenge is an exciting opportunity for every university, college and student union to enter teams and encourage their students and staff to take part. It’s been designed to enable students and young adults of all abilities to participate on campus or at home and add their miles to their team’s 2,021 mile target.

I urge my fellow Great Britain swimmers to join our BRIT Ambassador family so, together, we can promote the challenge and support young adults and students at every UK university and college.

I look forward to encouraging students and staff at Loughborough University to take on the BRIT 2021 Challenge”.
